How is football played?

Ootball is played by
two teams of eleven members each, and a game is divided into two halves of 45
minutes each, To begin with, the ball
is placed in the center of the field, and kicked off by a member of one of the
teams. Each team then attempts to kick the ball onto the opposite team’s goal.
The winning team is the one that has scored the most goals after 90 minutes. If
both teams have scored the same number of goals, the game is a draw. Sometimes,
when a game is drawn, the winner is decided during ‘extra time’ that is
allotted, followed by a penalty shootout.
A penalty shootout is tense situation in which each team will be given five penalty kicks alternately. If one team is not ahead on goals after these five kicks, the teams proceed to a ‘sudden death’, and the one who misses the goal first, loses the game. Believe me, this leads to a nail biting finish!
